On January 20, 2021, the Biden Administration announced the preservation of the DACA program. After many years of uncertainty, this announcement means that DACA recipients already in the program can file renewals.
The Biden Administration also introduced a Bill to Congress to further enhance the DACA program and possibly create a pathway towards lawful permanent residence status and US citizenship. Please understand that this is currently only a proposal and not law. Therefore, it is important to stay informed while first proceeding with a DACA application.
